Shooting in Slovakia - Accommodation
- The Castle: Chateau Bela
- The accommodation: The building and its facilities were thoroughly refurbished to provide first class accommodation, way beyond shooting lodge standards. The total bill of the renovation came to €100m. It has a home-from-home informality and five star rooms and dining. Count on sleeping in gilded grandeur, the stuff of fairy tales! There are 42 huge rooms all with en suite bedrooms that look after our guests in palatial comfort. On the ground floor there is a plethora of sitting rooms, a dining hall-cum-ballroom, decorated and furnished in baroque extravagance and a cosy bar with comfy armchairs, cushions and sofas in which to flop and relax, glass in hand.
- Fitness & spa: The fitness centre, Jacuzzi, sauna and massage rooms have a clean, sleek and contemporary look. Pedicures, manicures and massages are available to all.
- Good food: Breakfast is served in the breakfast hall to set you up for the day. Lunch is provided in one of several shooting lodges. The principal meal is dinner, a grand affair in the ballroom (jacket and tie optional), served with beer, a choice of very drinkable wines (all included in the price). The food is splendidly prepared in the same kitchen that lays on special banquets for visiting dignitaries who attend international conferences held at the castle. The Chef is the internationally renowned Peter Holles.
- The Grounds: The wooded gardens are a joy – even in the winter snow – and included in the estate is an old chapel typical of the region.
